Like every other professional worker, Accountants and CPAs often work more than full time. As of the research of 2019, 25% of CPA’s worked more than 40 hours per week, their work stress increases when tax and budget deadlines require overtime hours. According to "The CPA Journal," common reasons for stress on CPAs include too much work, time restrictions, a broad spectrum of tasks, and responsibility for other workers. Work-related stress causes poor job satisfaction, nonattendance, and health issues.
